GOVERNMENT FIDELITY AND
FORGERY POLICY - CR 00 30–DISCOVERY FORM AND CR 00 31–LOSS SUSTAINED FORM

The Insurance Services
Office (ISO) Government Fidelity and Forgery Policies are restricted
versions of the ISO Government Crime Coverage Form or Policy. Many parts of the
ISO Government Crime Coverage Form or Policy are not in the Government Fidelity
and Forgery Policies. It is available only as a separate, "Fidelity
Only" Policy.
There are two different
policy forms:
This analysis compares
CR 00 31–Government Fidelity and Forgery Policy (Loss Sustained Form) to
CR 00 27–Government Crime Policy (Loss Sustained Form).

The changes from the 06
22 edition have been incorporated into this article and highlighted in bold.
The only difference
between the CR DS 08–Government Fidelity and Forgery Policy Declarations
and DS 04–Government Crime Policy Declaration is that the only Insuring
Agreements listed are:

The following Insuring
Agreements in the Government Crime Policy are not in the Government Fidelity
and Forgery Policy:
The Government Fidelity
and Forgery Policy exclusively encompasses the Employee Theft – Per Loss,
Employee Theft – Per Employee, and Forgery or Alteration Insuring Agreements.
The wording in these Insuring Agreements is identical to that of the same
Insuring Agreements in the Government Crime Policy.
The Limits and
Deductible sections are identical in both forms.
The following
exclusions, located in the Government Crime Policy, are not included in the
Government Fidelity and Forgery Policy.

applicable to Insuring Agreements A.3., A.4., A.5., A.6., A.7., and A.8.
of the Government Crime Policy are not included in the Government Fidelity
and Forgery Policy, as it does not cover those specific Insuring Agreements.
In the Government Crime
Policy section 2. Additional Conditions Applicable to Specific
Insuring Agreements A.5. and A.7. do not apply to the Government Fidelity
and Forgery Policy since these Insuring Agreements are not applicable to the Fidelity
and Forgery policy.
Conditions E.1.a. is
titled 'Additional Premises or Employees' in the Government Crime Policy, but
in the Government Fidelity or Forgery Policy, Conditions E.1.a. is
titled 'Additional Employees'. This difference exists because premises is not
relevant to Insuring Agreements 1 and 2 in the Government Fidelity or
Forgery Policy.
The terms defined below
in the Government Crime Policy are not included in the Government Fidelity
and Forgery Policy since the coverages they apply to are not part of the
policy.
